Fairmont-Morgantown Housing Authority believes that classroom style Homebuyer Education helps homebuyers make better decisions. Attendees are more informed about the home buying process which helps create more successful homeowners and stronger loan applications.

Fairmont-Morgantown Housing Authority follows the NeighborWorks® 'Realizing the American Dream' curriculum. Potential homebuyers attend the one day, 8-hour, session and receive a certificate of completion. The class offers a casual, friendly learning environment where questions are encouraged.

- Shopping for a Home
- Getting a Mortgage Loan
- The Homebuying Team
- Home Maintenance / Living Green

Fairmont-Morgantown Housing Authority is recognized by West Virginia Housing Development Fund, USDA Rural Development and GenWorth as a certified Homebuyer Educator. Various lenders require Homebuyer Education for applicants using specific loan products.
Homebuyer Education is offered at No Charge*. For reservation call Donna Lane a (304) 363-0860-ext. 127. HBE classes are the 2nd Friday of the month from 9:00 - 5:00 PM**. Lunch and materials are provided. Manual is provided to attendees.
