HUD Regulations
Violence Against Women Act
Note: The Violence Against Women Act is incorporated as part of the Agency Admissions & Continued Occupancy Policy (ACOP). It is also posted on the agency website at www.fmhousing.com. If the agency becomes aware of a situation where this Act would apply, the client would be informed of the Act, and proper procedures would be followed. Copies of the VAWA brochure are contained in this document and are also maintained in the agency lobby so that clients are aware of the Act's existence.
Fair Housing Booklet
The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) enforces the Fair Housing Act, which prohibits discrimination and the intimidation of people in their homes, apartment buildings, and condominium developments – in nearly all housing transactions, including the rental and sale of housing and the provision of mortgage loans. For more info please reference this booklet.
