Housing Conference Targets More Opportunities for Middle Class Families in Morgantown
By: Nick Farrell of WBOY.com

Members of Morgantown City Council met with housing professionals Wednesday, Oct. 28 to discuss ways of increasing housing opportunities near the city.

The group met at the Ramada Hotel to discuss  the issue of housing demand in Monongalia County as the population and economy grows.

Leaders of the Community Living Initiatives Corporation said the talks focused on developing better opportunities for middle-class families to live in the city.

That organization hopes to see a positive outcome from this meeting.

“The outcome we would like to see is for there to be a project developed that pulls all these people together into a unified effort to build some sort of moderate income housing,” said Regina Mayolo of the Community Living Initiatives Corporation.
